M.G.B. formed in the autumn of 2003, and played their first live gig in Westbury in February 2004. Having released their first covers album ‘Roundabout’ in the autumn of 2004, the band have gone from strength to strength and are very busy around the local circuit. They are: Mandy, lead vocals and keyboards, Ginge rhythm/acoustic guitar and vocals, and Bob on lead and bass guitar with occasional vocals. – hence M.G.B.
With a vast array of covers ranging from The Corrs, Beatles, Blondie, Roxette and Pink Floyd, M.G.B. also write their own material. Two new songs are to appear on the new CD due for launch later this year: – ‘No Barriers’, a huge favourite with fans that always gets your feet tapping, was written by Mandy a little over a year ago and expresses the way in which her life has developed. ‘Love Will Find A Way’, written by Ginge, is a dedication to his wife, and is a great song with heavy riffs and gentle melodies all combined into a song that you cannot stop singing once you’ve heard it.
M.G.B. are a three piece band that have stood the test of time, regularly updating their material to reflect audience expectations, whilst still maintaining some of the old standards that people expect of them.
